*¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to Español con el Sr. O'!
Here's some advice for studying and learning languages
& a few good Spanish help links. Let me know if you find
other fun / interesting / helpfull sites out on the web.
¡Adios! Señor O' ô¿ê

ADVICE:

Learning a language is:
80% vocabulary memorization:
repetición, repetición, repetición,
y práctico, práctico, práctico!

20% is grammar or sentence structure.
The rules are taught in class
( but you can practice them anywhere. )

If learning doesn’t come naturally...
.....then you’ll have to work at it! :

Keep a positive attitude.
ASK QUESTIONS!
Stop in for help before or after school.
Make flashcards (vocab word--picture)
Use the flashcards 35 times.
Write the words on your calendar.
Connect the words to English. alto = tall ( like altitude )
Describe everything! Él es alto. etc...
Think in Spanish where you normally zone out: exercising, standing in line,...
Write the 5 verb forms on your hand.
Teach somebody, family, friend, etc.
Eat, drink, watch, and listen to Spanish

Work with a study buddy.
Make sure homework is done by Friday.
Pretest yourself on Sunday night.
Correct and rewrite your errors X 10.
Retake quizes and tests.
Keep trying! You’ll get it eventually!
